MO♦DUS

«Hell’s Blend» vino rosato frizzante PET.NAT

«Succulent and in good sensorial shape, shows notes of geranium, mandarina juice, green tea leaves and camphor. Full body, creamy and precise in the flavor, shows density and volume but remains elegant and genuine. Immediately splendid. A grand petnat, maybe the best I’ve ever tasted!»

MUS♦QUILA

Piemonte DOC Moscato Secco «esCAMOtage»

«Admittedly I find this a little over the top, surely very concentrated, palate-coating and warming with its late harvest-like character… One gets the sense that this is more of a work in progress than finished masterpiece… A great intellectual exercise in tasting this wine in any case.»

Langhe DOC Favorita (amphora «orange»)

«Aromas of chamomile, tangerine peel, white pepper, pear skins and spices. Medium-bodied with some tannin texture. Dry-spice character. More like an orange wine. Refreshing, subtly bitter and pithy».

MONGRIFIÉ

vino bianco aromatico dolce | white aromatic sweet wine (EXPERIMENTUM series)

«I’ve been experimenting in winemaking and viticulture ever since I first got a hose (or a cutter) in my hands. At Quila, apart from my major experiment which is the Moretto, I’ve been doing microvinifications since the first harvest. The most successful of them give birth to a larger scale experiments and wine production in commercial quantities. In 2023 I bottled 4 experimental wines, two of them from the 2022 harvest and 2 more from 2020. Only two of them are commercially available.»

Bric♦Bissarello

Langhe DOC Rosso (red field blend)

«Your wine has shown a combination of intrinsic quality and territorial identity».

Alessandro Torcoli (civiltadelbere.com)

«Soft raspberry, strawberry and red flower aromas lead to delicious palate with slick tannins and a lingering finish».

DWWA 2022 (decanter.com)

«Loaded with some watery cherries, juicy strawberries, raspberries, dry and fine-grained tannins, a really good acidity. I don’t think I’ve ever tasted Dolcetto with such ease. It is furiously fine and elegant Dolcetto».

Jeff♦Pramas

Langhe DOC Rosso / Nebbiolo (F.O.D.S. – ripasso)

«Quite dry, with cranberries, currants, juicy cherries, a dry bitterness and juicy sweetness, licorice notes, a delicious and round taste. It may not have the bright, austere tannin bite of Nebbiolo, is more fun, rustic and meaty, but damn does it taste good!»

MX♦QUILA

Piemonte DOC Rosso (rare varietal)

«Very young wine, the result of a heroic recovery project by the passionate winemaker adopted by Piedmont. We need to give it time, but it will be like drinking a glass of history».

Davide Bortone (winemag.it)

«Aromas of suede, black cherries and fresh herbs. Medium-to full-bodied with plenty of nicely ripened fruit. Tense, chewy tannins. Oak and spice come through the rich fruit».

James Suckling (jamessuckling.com)

«Absolutely impressive with leather, roses, violets, minerals and a ripe fruit with weight, black cherries, raspberries, blackberries and deep intensity…The tannins give a good bite and they creep up slowly and settle almost unnoticed on the teeth».

Perelisa

Barbaresco DOCG

Second in Rome

Barbaresco has been one of my passions since 2013, the first time I vinified it. Even though during a short period I couldn’t produce it under my label (my winery was out of the production area) I kept making Barbaresco for Roberto Taverna. My winery moved to Neive in 2023, so it was high time to make “my own” Barbaresco. For the 2021 vintage I took a wine that I vinified at Taverna’s. With some AI help a story about the brave Roman legionnaire Marcus Rhynus was set up. My idea was to bottle it under a screw cap and be the first in the area. But just a week before the bottling I read in the news that Ettore Germano is releasing a Barolo under a screw cap, so the wine concept completely changed.
